The Pitu de Caleya is a giant, free range chicken that is bred in Asturias in the north of Spain. It is the basis of a famous dish cooked in the local cider and it is also a prized and handsome bird that many proud Asturians keep in their gardens. Adopted Asturian and artist, Henry Iles has created this drawing based on an old engraving of the Pitu, for a range of pastel coloured tableware.
